Thursday, March 15th at 7pm - YOU’VE BEEN TAGGED!!!  We’re so excited for this upcoming GNO!  Remember playing “tag” as a kid?  No one wanted to be “it” but this is different!  You will want to be “it” and you will want to be “tagged!”  There’s no running involved, just encouraging!  We will get together on Thursday, March 15th at 7pm.  We will meet at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard).  Our focus will be on acknowledging God’s grace in our everyday lives.  And, in doing so we will reflect and share the impact our dear friend, Pam Briggs, had on so many.  By recognizing God’s grace in our daily life and in honor of Pam, we’re asking you to “tag” someone and remind them of the blessing of God’s grace in their life.  So, come ready for some fun; come with someone in mind to encourage; and come with friends!  As always we will supply some light snacks and refreshments so all you have to do is show up!  We’re asking that you let us know if you will be joining us and who you are bringing with you so we’re sure to have enough but not too much!  We will conclude our evening with our prize give away!!!!!  So much fun and so right around the corner!!!!!!

Thursday, February 15th at 7:00pm - Happy February everyone!  I’m so excited for our next GNO on Thursday, February 15th at 7:00pm.  We will be back at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard, OH).  We had a wonderful time last month and had many questions answered regarding new and healthier eating habits.  Our theme will translate into this month focusing on making a better “me/you” so we can ultimately be better for Christ.
 
Come hungry!  We’re going to make “naked pizza” together!  It’s a filling and fully organic delicious meal.  Don’t let the title scare you.    It’s yummy! Whether in life or diet bettering ourselves is easier with “preparation,” “fellowship,” and “accountability!”  We will focus on all three and have a great time together doing it!  And we will fill our bellies also!
 
Here's what you have to do! We’re asking everyone to “prepare” ahead of time and bring a mixture of one and a half cups (1 ½) of diced green and red peppers, onions, and mushrooms.  If those aren’t to your liking then bring 1 ½ cups of a pizza topping you like.  Then, when we come together we’ll experience the fellowship!  Not to mention good food!!!  We will be supplying the meat, pizza sauce, cheese, and crust as well as some refreshments!  Next, let us know that you will be joining us so we’re sure to have enough, but not too much!  And, don’t forget to reach out and bring a friend!  We value connecting women together in an encouraging environment.  If you don’t have the time or means to bring your toppings, we will have extra so don’t let that stop you from coming!

Happy New Year!  We’re so excited to kick off the new year with you.  You won’t want to miss this!  We’ve invited our friends Kendra McNamara and Christy Jocek, certified Body Transformation Specialists to join us for a casual Q & A on Thursday, January 18th at 7pm.  We’ll meet at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard).
 
What’s the best way to kick off the year?  By setting new goals to make a better “you!”  Who doesn’t want to shed a few pounds, eat healthier, and feel better?  Well, one sure way to do that is to learn what we’re putting in our bodies.  Our hot topic will be about “sugar” and what it does to our bodies and how to minimize it from our diets.  We will also hear answers to questions about “fake sugar” and what’s the best kind for us.  Want to learn about resetting your metabolism, crushing your cravings and reducing inflammation?  Ask, Ask, Ask!  Bring your questions and come ready to learn.
 
We will provide some nutritious snacks and an atmosphere to share and get to know each other better.  And we will end our evening with a special prize give away that will encourage you to hit your goals!  So save the date, invite your friends and join us on the 18th!  All you have to do is confirm that you will be joining us and how many are coming with you so we’re sure to have enough.

GNO December 14th (Thursday) –  Thursday, December 14th at 7pm.  We will be meeting at my house again.  The fire will be going, the hot chocolate will be served with marshmallows and the spirit of Christmas will be in our hearts.  The birth of our Savior was long ago so we will be celebrating with a cheerful heart singing Happy Birthday to Him.  What better way to celebrate than to give.  How so?  We’ve come up with two ways for you to give:

  • We have a Madison County toy donation that is given to children whose parents have registered and are screened.  Some also go to children in foster care during their foster care party.  No need to wrap the gifts because they fill applications and choose toys closest to what the child wanted.  We just need to bring them.  We will have a box here at the house for you to put the toys in and we will deliver them the following day.  Here’s some ideas of toys (Crafts – art kits, baking, jewelry, sticker, sand; Books; Board games – Operation, sorry, memory games, life, Jenga; Boy stuff – tools, super hero, sci fi; Girl stuff – Dress up, my little pony, cooking, baby doll; Infants – blocks, learning, musical, bath; Movies; Sports – nerf)
  • In Christy’s shoes is an organization striving to inspire women in challenging circumstances to walk in their shoes with confidence, strength and stability.  They provide awareness and funding for programs that support women on their journey of personal growth.  We will have a box here at the house for you to put a pair of new or gently worn women’s shoes of any style.
 
We’re having a party only the presents are not for us!  What better way to celebrate!  We’re excited to share in this with you!  Of course we will have eats and cake!!!  We’ll have the party hats and fun!  All you have to do is come!!!  You are under NO obligation to bring a present, we require just YOU!  You are a gift and blessing to us already so bring a toy or shoes only if you wish to do so!  We just need to know if you will be joining us and if you will be bringing a friend or two or three so we’re sure to have enough and not too much!  And, knowing this is a busy time of year, we understand if you can’t attend; however, if you would still like to bring a present, feel free to email me and let me know when you can drop off your gift.  I’m so looking forward to sharing this celebration with you.

December 15th (Friday) – Christmas Caroling!  You won’t want to miss this.  We will be caroling to 5-7 people that can’t get out and giving them cookies baked from our hearts and a small gift.  Remember, a good voice isn’t needed just a tender heart!  We’ll be leaving from Northwest Bible Church at 5:45p on Friday, December 15th.  And, when our caroling is complete we will gather together and share some hot chocolate before heading home to the coziness of p-jays.  I hope you will consider joining us, we have an awesome time!  We are still in need of knowing if you are coming and also volunteers for cookie donations! 
GNO Thursday, November 16th at 7pm at the home of Nan Payne.  With everything that has been going on in our country we thought we’d come together this month with a spirit of thankfulness!  Do you ever ponder how lucky and privileged we are living in this country?  Yet, as things continue, many are now becoming desensitized to what is going on.  Well, we’re getting together to lift our country up and unite with thankful hearts for the freedoms we have.  Then we will work together to come up with ways to not only think boldly about those freedoms but to act bold in pursuing them.  Remember a thankful heart is our goal!  So, lets sport our red, white and blue colors and join in some fun together.  All you have to do is let us know that you will be joining us and tell us how many friends you’re bringing with you so we’re sure to have enough!  It’s taco Thursday night for the eats!!!  If you’ve never attended a GNO before won’t you consider joining us and spreading some thanksgiving cheer!?  And, perhaps you’ll be the lucky winner in our monthly prize give a way!!!  Either way, don’t miss out!
GNO November 18th (Saturday) Amish Country– we will meet at the church and depart at 9:30am for Amish Country.  We’ll be traveling in vans together so all you need is $10 and you’re in!  The amount of money you need beyond that depends on your personal shopping and meals when we stop.  It will be a fun filled day where we will create memories and continue to get to know each other.  Keep checking the weather for how to dress and expect to be back between 8:30-9:30p.  More information to follow soon!
GNO Oct. 26th - Well, we certainly didn,t want to miss getting together with those of you that weren’t able to attend the retreat!  We were so excited to see you on Thursday, October 26th at 7pm!  We met at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr, Hilliard, OH).  This month we spent our time encouraging others.  We asked each of you to bring 3 cards and 3 addresses of someone you’d like to encourage!  Together we wrote those cards out and prepared them for mailing.  DON’T WORRY ABOUT THE STAMP, IT’S ON US!  And, if you were short of cards, we had some extra!  But, we need your participation and your attendance!!!!  In our first time together sending cards, we were thankful to encourage almost 50 people!!!  And, in today’s technology and mounds of junk mail who doesn’t like to get snail mail that brightens their day?  Of course, we had some eats and a time of getting to know each other.  And, don’t forget our prize give away at the end of the night!  What an easy night….eating, chatting, encouraging and a chance to win a prize! 
GNO Oct. 20-21 - Our fall retreat!  A time to REVIVE
GNO on Thursday, September 21st at 7pm -  We met at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby, Hilliard).  We had a fun and entertaining night planned and welcomed you to attend our GNO – Dinner Theatre!  We had volunteers to participate in our “mystery mic”!  You joined us for a meal that was served to you while you sat and enjoyed each other’s company and took it all in.  Come with others in mind because after our evening you will want to reach out to someone.  Fun, we got it; Food, you’ll eat it, Fellowship, you know it!  And, don’t forget our end of the night prize give away!  All you have to do is let us know that you will be joining us!  We’re hoping that you will extend a hand out and bring a friend with you!  Then, let us know so we’re sure to have enough for everyone!

GNO July 20 - 7pm -   We all got together at Nan Payne’s house at 7pm on July 20th.  It was easy to find and you couldn't miss it because there was a carnival going on outside!  You didn't want to miss this one and you needed to come dressed in comfy clothes.  If you like to be kind of “active” you were able to bounce and be a kid again!  If you are more in to carnival games you were able to test your talents!  And, if you are neither then you simply got to walk around with friends and EAT.  This was not for the healthy! Walking tacos, snow cones, cotton candy and more!  Do you like funnel cakes?  This was the place for you!  We also had our own “make shift” dunk tank with an opportunity to “dunk” some of the GNO committee?  And, of course the pool is open!!!!
We’re so excited to be celebrating two years for GNO!  It’s FREE!  TWO YEARS!  We hope you were a part of it!  There were tickets to win and a BINGO grand prize at the end of the evening as well as our prize give away!  How many tickets will you win?  And, you got a free ticket for each new person that came with you!

GNO Thursday, June 22 at 7pm -  We met at Nan Payne’s pool house.  Ever have a bad day and then out of nowhere a stranger says they “like the color of your shirt, it looks good on you?”  Crazy isn’t it?  One kind thought or word can change our outlook.  While it might not change our circumstance, it can certainly change how we feel.  That’s what GNO is about and that’s why we are glad that you will be joining us on June 22nd.  We had a summer cook out and while we ate, we will took some time to encourage and build up one another….but in a special way with a fun activity.  Then, you can anticipate the outcome because we aren’t revealing it until July!  So, we are glad you could join us to encourage someone or maybe you needed to be encouraged?  Either way, there’s only one place to be on June 22nd and it’s at GNO! 
We supplied the meat for the grill and the refreshments and attendees brought a dish to share.    Of course, if you were into swimming feel free to bring your suit and jump in!  We looked forward to the eats!  And, speaking of eating, thank you to all of you that helped prepare meals that we delivered.  They were so grateful and we are excited to share with you how it went.  Don’t forget, we concluded our evening with our prize give away!

GNO Thursday, May 18th at 7pm - We met in our pool house (420 Darbyton Dr., Plain City) and began promptly at 7pm.  It was critical that we began on time as we worked together to prepare our dinner!  We appreciate those of you that confirmed that you will be joining us.  We had a blast preparing a meal together, eating the eats, and then putting some additional meals together for some folks that benefited from it!
 
We had FUN, FOOD, and FELLOWSHIP!  And, a pretty cool prize give a way at the end too!

GNO Thursday, April 27th at 7pm - We did a two-part series beginning in April and continuing through May.  Our focus in April was on “new growth” and we had a fun surprise for you in preparing our fields for planting.  We joined together in fertilizing  and watering those fields as they reap “new growth” among us and in what we are doing within GNO to help make an impact in each other’s lives.  May will be exciting as we continue encourage and extend our hand out to others using the food that our fields have produced.  So, it’s our hope that you will join us and bring a friend.  We at GNO would love to join hands with you in encouraging other women to get connected.  We know there is strength in numbers and it’s time we unite together and jump in the trenches to spread His love to others.

GNO Thursday, February 16th, 7pm at Northwest Bible Church - We met on Thursday, February 16th at 7pm at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard, OH  43226).  This month we hosted our NEW GNO Gameshow!  It was a combination between Jeopardy, Family Feud, and Let’s Make a Deal!  We had tissues available but for the tears of laughter!
We enjoyed a night of hors d’oeuvres (appetizers)  and thanks to you who volunteered to bring one!  In addition, we will supplied light snacks, refreshments and of course chocolate!!!  We all had a wonderful fellowship and fun as well!     Please do not ever hesitate to bring a friend or two or three, just let us know!  And, remember by doing so it just might put you in the lead to win a GNO tshirt by the end of March!  And, our favorite activity is our end of night prize give away!  Perhaps if you aren’t a winner in the game show, your name will be picked!

GNO Thursday, January 26th, 2017 at 7pm -Thank you for joining us on January 26th at 7pm at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard, OH).  We’re starting the year off with a bang!  With a full year in front of us we need to “Prepare” for what’s ahead and “Live expectantly.”  Thank you again for coming and taking care of the “IT” that we deal with daily.  We had fun, food and fellowship as well as our prize give away! 




Christmas Caroling
December 16, 2016 (Friday)
A time of gathering to lift our voices celebrating the Christmas season and the birth of our Savior.  We departed at approximately 6pm and had a visit with those who can't venture out.  A good voice wasnt required but only a generous heart.  We made a joyful noise to the Lord and shared a smile.Time:  6:00-9:00pm

GNO Thursday, December 15th at 7pm -  We were together on Thursday, December 15th at 7pm.   We had some finger food and refreshments as well as some yummy sweets to start our celebration of the Christmas season.  This month we focused on “The Gift” and personalizing it so we can see how God has blessed each one of us in a special way and how we can utilize it for the betterment of ourselves and for others.  So blessed to spend an evening once a month with these ladies and GNO ministries! Lots of food, laughter, sharing, and mostly remembering the reason for the season and the incredible gift God gave us in His Son! MERRY CHRISTMAS! - and off to Christmas carol tomorrow night!

It’s that time of year again! 
The holidays are right around the corner and we’re looking to adopt a child for Christmas.  Here’s how it works!  GNO will again join with Syntero and adopt children/families and provide gifts for those that would not receive them otherwise.  Last year Syntero helped 26 families and 75 children! 
 
If you are interested in helping and adopting a child or two all  you have to do is let us know.  They are asking that we spend approximately $50-75 per child as our gifts may be the only ones they receive.  In addition to gifts for the children, a gift card to Kroger or Wal-Mart is appreciated in order to provide a holiday meal for the family.
 
Our timeframe is as follows:

  *  Let us know how many children you want to adopt by 11/10
  *  Let us know if you will be donating a gift card of minimum $25 by 11/10
  *  Wish list of the children will be provided to us and handed out at our next GNO 11/17
  *  If you are unable to attend on the 17th but still want to participate please email me
  *  The gifts need to be returned to GNO by 12/15 which is our December GNO
 
Please know that when we agree to adopt a child these are the only gifts they will receive so it’s critical if you decide to help to follow through and stick to the deadlines mentioned above.




SLUMBER RETREAT
November 18-19, 2016 (Friday-Saturday) - We were excited to launch our first "slumber" retreat. A time to get away for a night and enjoy some fun, food and fellowship in a slumber party atmosphere. We arrived on Friday afternoon and stayed through Saturday night.  Our time will included getting to know one another, games, down time, some fun activities, and spiritual growth.

GNO November 17th at 7pm - Are you hungry for smores?  This month we met on Thursday, November 17th at 7pm at Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard, OH 43226).  We took a deeper look at the holiday “Thanksgiving” and focused on the history and meaning of it rather than the “food”.  We saw how faith played a huge part in the original journey and see how though there was a meal of giving thanks the focus was on their faith and trust in God.  We had a fun activity planned to seek what we may be thankful for in our own lives and that may serve as a reminder in our journey.

GNO EVENT – October 20th, 2016 7PM - We brought back “Movie Night” and showed God’s not Dead 2!  We were at the Northwest Bible Church (6639 Scioto Darby Dr., Hilliard, OH  43226) and enjoyed popcorn and refreshments!  Those of you who joined us it was a fun time and bring a few friends with you as we continue to reach out to others and extend God’s love.  We began our evening welcoming everyone and handing out our scripture of the month and after the movie we  concluded with our prize give-away!




AMISH DAY - October 15, 2016 (Saturday) - It was an exciting day of awesome food, fellowship and total fun.  Our trip included good Amish food, shopping specialty goods and a detailed tour and guide to authentic living.  We ended our day together at a dinner to share and reminisce about our day before journeying home.

GNO EVENT September 22, 2016 - We met on September 22, 7pm at the home of Carolyn Stephan’s. (425 Darbyton Dr., Plain City, OH  43064). We challenged everyone to “pay it forward” in some way however you felt would accomplish that goal.  Some examples were to pay for someone behind you in a drive thru, take some time with someone you know or a stranger, or some other way that would shed the love of Jesus.  Whatever you chose to do I’m sure it will brought a smile and brightened someone’s day.  We came together and shared our stories.  It was awesome to hear how hearts are touched!

GNO Event August 18, 2016 - What an awesome GNO we had last Thursday.   I mailed our cards and trinket to those whom have made an impact in our lives.  It was so special to hear how that special person has touched our lives and it is my prayer that in receiving your card  their heart’s would also be touched!

Come join us on Thursday, August 18th at 7pm at the house of Nan Payne (420 Darbyton Dr., Plain City).  Our theme is the spirit of thanksgiving. We will be filling out and sending a note thanking that special someone who has been a big part of our life and either made an impact or helped us become who we are today.  So between now and the 18th put your thinking cap on and come with someone in mind as well as their address.  We will supply the note-card and postage stamps.  Also, we will be serving refreshments and light snacks; however, if anyone wants to volunteer to bring an additional appetizer feel free to do so.





GNO Event July 28th, 2016 - We celebrated our first year in ministry and were so excited to share in fun, food, and fellowship!  As always, we had a fun activity for all to participate in and our end of the evening prize give a way.  We were so excited to share how God moved through us this past year and how excited we have been to follow what He has for us in the future.

GNO Event June 23, 2016 - What a wonderful time we had together!  We had some amazing food and a fun time of sharing, not to mention a pretty intense game of corn hole!  It’s such a pleasure to be getting to know each of you.  We are looking so forward to celebrating a year of GNO in July with you!

Join us on Thursday, June 23 at 7pm at the home of Carolyn Stephan’s for our next GNO event!  We are slowing down for a casual and relaxing time and will be cooking out together and enjoying a time of fun, food and fellowship.  We will have some fun yard games to play and will look forward to roasting marshmallows at the close of the evening.  We are asking for some volunteers to bring either a side dish or dessert.  GNO will supply the meat and refreshments. 


GNO Event May 19, 2016 - What an awesome GNO event! Planting a seed and as it grows being reminded of our growth in Christ and passing those seeds out to others encouraging them to do the same!

Our next GNO event will be on Thursday, May 19th at 7pm at Nan Payne's home!!!  Our theme will be “May flowers!”  We will plant our seed and watch it grow over time and let it serve as a reminder of our own personal growth with God.  I think it will be a special time where we can come together again and lift each other up!  We will have light snacks again and refreshments!


GNO Event April 28, 2016 - What a wonderful GNO event! April showers of Gods blessings!! I am so blessed to be a part of an awesome ministry!!!

Our GNO two-part series coming up in April and May!  Coming on Thursday, April 28th at 7pm at the home of Carolyn Stephans, we will let God’s showers of blessings rain down upon us! No need to bring your umbrella, we’ll help you create a “special”  one specifically for you!  Come join us for a time of fun, food, and fellowship!


GNO Event Mar. 17th, 2016 - We had a wonderful time connecting with each other at our last GNO!

Held at Northwest Bible Church!   We were excited to have or first movie night and see the movie on a big screen!!  We watched the movie “God’s not Dead.”  This was to prep us for the release of “God’s not Dead2!” that comes out on April 1st!

We had popcorn and chocolate as well as some refreshments and lots of fellowship.


GNO Event Feb. 18, 2016 - We had a wonderful time connecting with each other at our last GNO!  We learned some funny, serious, and neat things that others can do!  We learned some things to pray about as well as some encouraging things to help us through the tough days!

This month we have been led to bring it back to the basics.  Our theme is “Speed Dating – Making a connection.”  As you know, back in July the Lord put it on our heart to come together and encourage each other.  In Matthew 18:20 it says where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.  It is our hope to provide an atmosphere where once a month we can come together and make a connection getting to know each other and lifting each other up.  So, I hope you are ready for some fun, some sharing, and some laughter.

We will provide light snacks and drinks!  And, don’t forget our prize give away at the end of the evening!


GNO Event Jan. 21, 2016 - What an amazing time we had together!  It was so much fun to be with all of you and learn so much!  Are you still eager to turn it all around?  We need to continue to encourage and lift up each other and pray that even through little steps we can better ourselves mentally, physically and spiritually!

What better way to start then to gear up 2016 and be the best you possible via the 5 essentials of maximized living: positive mindset, nutrition, exercise, decreasing toxicity, and optimal nervous system health!!  We are so excited to hear what Dr. Katie Benson has to say when she speaks to us.  And, even if we can take one thing and improve on it then we not only can make ourselves better but aid in helping and encouraging others as well!
